ABT Mission Initiatives
The ELCIC Mission Fund provides funding each year to support activities in the Synod of Alberta and the Territories which are experimental in spirit and which genuinely seek to explore what it means to participate in God’s mission in the world today.
Each project or experiment funded must meet at least one of these four criteria:
a. Is exploratory or experimental;
b. Addresses a challenge in your context related to the church’s mission;
c. Seeks to develop relationships with others in the community or local neighbourhood;
d. Encourages participation in God’s mission in the community or local neighbourhood.
Funding of projects through Mission Initiatives provides support for congregations and ministries within the Synod of Alberta and the Territories. Meetings of the Synod’s Missional Formation Team are held as needed to consider applications.
