Earth Day is a time that we set more intentionally focus on and give our thanks and praise to the Creator of all, in our work and our worship. We have a covenant with God to protect the earth, soil, and water, which informs and leads to our daily life responses, not only as congregations, but also as individuals; for example, ensuring that everyone around the world has enough to eat.
The 2015 Earth Day Resource: “Signs of the Covenant” was written and compiled by Christine Longhurst for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank/CLWR.
It contains call to worship, prayers, song suggestions, and various responses that invite your worshipping community to consider ways to be good stewards of the earth.
