9:30 am – Workshop begins
12:00 pm – lunch break (bring a bag lunch or eat out)
1:00 pm – Workshop resumes
4:30 pm – Workshop concludes, Participation Certificates distributed

Cost: $30.00 per person, which includes materials and refreshment breaks (no lunch provided). Materials will be distributed at the workshop.

This workshop will look at the issues that impact those in the role of leadership in faith communities. Founded on a theological and ethical discussion of power and vulnerability, it focuses on the particular roles that pastoral caregivers fulfill within a spiritual community.

This curriculum was developed to strengthen the understanding of the needs for boundaries, as a method of self-care and community care.

According to the ELCIC Employment Agreements, the ongoing obligations of the Ordained Minister/Diaconal Minister & the Congregation specify that:

  1. a.v. the Ordained Minister/Diaconal Minister must provide the employer with certification of participation in ‘Healthy Boundaries’ training every five years;

At the conclusion of the Workshop, all participants will receive a Certification of Participation in compliance with this requirement.
